Stayed here for a couple of weeks. Staff were excellent and we were treated very well. Limited menu but what was on it was well cooked and presented well. They could do with a bit more choice of beer at the bar though, even if it's just bottled. Even had access to the Leisure centre, which we didn't use.
Staying at the Lighthouse View Inn was a beacon of comfort and hospitality. The inn's proximity to the historic lighthouse was a unique and charming feature. Our room was cozy, and we could even see the lighthouse from our window. The innkeeper's warm welcome and homemade breakfast made us feel right at home. Exploring the rugged coastline was a highlight of our trip. A true coastal gem.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We couldn't fault the hotel at all. The first night we had our evening meal in the hotel, couldn't fault it. The breakfast we had was cooked to order both mornings, plenty choice. The room we had was nice and we both commented on how we didn't hear any noise from other guests. We made full use of the leisure facilities. All the staff there were very helpful and friendly. If ever we were in the area again we would definitely stay there. Thank you for a very relaxing weekend.
Nice hotel, would love to go back but has some teething issues. One of our rooms has stained sheets and a dirty carpet. Rooms cold on arrival as radiators were turned off. Lovely leisure club. Front of house staff saying restaurant closed and ovens off 15 minutes before the closing time advertised on their website. Breakfast good but no croissants left when we booked a time slot - very poor, one sausage with cooked breakfast, could do with two.
Firstly, was told I had checked in 30 minutes earlier when I arrived. After disputing this, turns out they had checked someone else into my room who had a different name and nationality. They did find us another room but the radiator in the bathroom didn't work. Someone came along and check it, told us it was fine and left. Radiator did not heat up all night. Check in was at 3pm and no food was available until the restaurant opened at 6pm. Food and service was excellent in the restaurant. Breakfast was again another let down. You had to book a time slot and the only time they had left was 9.50 breakfast finished at 11am. There were no croissants left only dried crusty rolls and little muffins. Not much choice left on fruit salad or yoghurt as guests with earlier slots had cleared and staff were not replenishing due to breakfast finishing at 11am. Ended up ordering cooked breakfast instead. This was a gift voucher for dinner, bed and breakfast and whilst we did not have to pay, this was still a bad showing and would not encourage me to book or recommend. Whilst checking out another guest was having a rather, loud and heated discussion about an overcharge, all in front of other guests.
We are a family from Ukraine and we were given temporary residence there
Everything is very wonderful and the service is top notch. Thank you very much for your kindness
Just returned from a lovely overnight stay on a great DBB deal. From onset of booking Craig, reception manager was fabulous as I was visiting with my 80yr young mum. He aĺlocated suitable room with walk in shower and it was absolutely beautiful (the one you can see behind tree at entrance with large arched window). Massive room and massive comfy bed. All staff were lovely and dinner was delicious. Bar service very good. Asked if we could use leisure facilities after check-out and wasn't a problem. Lovely facilities and very enjoyable and relaxing.
Ive just got 2 minor grumbles but not reflected in my rating as that would be unfair........ no bread left for toast at breakfast. Not a major issue for some but mum Type 1 diabetic and requires a slice in morning. Managed a slice for mum but my concern is if we'd been later she wouldn't have got. A hotel should never be in that position at breakfast time. Delivery truck never appeared, then send someone out for a loaf.
Last wee thing .......please change the music in lounge ! Even my 80yr young mother couldn't deal with it haha ! We will def return and thank you to all hard working staff
Such a lovely place to visit staff very friendly and food excellent we have stayed over 20 times over the years and have never had a bad experience. My daughter booked this as a gift for us but forgot to mention we needed a ground floor but it was no problem to change it.
